JOHN L. CREPS DIES IN TOLEDO
Weston, July 25 - John Lewis Creps of this village,
passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo last
evening at 6:25 o'clock. He was taken to the hospital on
Sunday where an operation revealed that he had a ruptured
gall bladder and appendix and every effort to save his
life failed.
Funeral services will be held in the Methodist Episcopal
Church in Weston Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with
Rev. W. W. Constien of Bowling Green officiating. Burial
will be in the Milton Township Cemetery.
John Lewis Creps was born in Liberty Township to Wilson
F. and Nancy C. Creps on March 14, 1882 and he was 57
years, 4 months and 11 days old at the time of his
passing. He was united in marriage to Mary Gingrich of
Napoleon in 1906 and to this union five children were
born.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs.
Fern Drummer of Leipsic, Mrs. Helen Green of North
Baltimore, Lois at home, two sons, Lloyd and Wayne of
Bowling Green, six grandchildren, four sisters Mrs.
Brettie Morree of Bowling Green, Mrs. Dora Goodman of
Drumright, Okla., Mrs. Celia Bascom of Bowling Green,
Mrs. Hazel Stewart of Hoytville and six brother J. A. of
Sapulpa, Okla., Wilson of Humbolt Kansas, Carl of New
Mexico, Dallas of Cygnet, Bert of Witchita, Kan., and
Harry of Milton Center.

DALLAS CREPS, 61RITES WEDNESDAY
Dallas "Dal" Creps, 61, Hammansburg farmer,
died Sunday morning at his home of influenza following an
extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Hammansburg
Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 with the
Rev. William Noble officiating. Burial will be at Rudolph
Cemetery.
Mr. Creps was born in Hancock County, February 22, 1879,
but had lived in Hammansburg for the past 25 years. He
was married to Rose Smith, March 13, 1909, and they would
have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on
Wednesday.
He was a member of the Hammansburg Methodist Church.
Besides his wife Rose, he is survived by the following
children, Nina Chamberlin, Hammansburg; Beulah Coppes,
Van Buren; Wilma at home; sons, Walter, of Liberty
Township, and Dale at home; four brothers, Harry, Milton
Center; Carl, Durango Colo; Will, Humbolt Kansas; Bert,
Wichita Kansas; sisters, Dora Goodman, Drumright, Okla.,
Mrs. Betty Cashmaire, Bowling Green and Hazel Stewart,
Hoytville.

Services Tuesday For Linda Lou Creps
Funeral services for Linda Lou Creps, eight months,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Creps, will be Tuesday at
4:00 p.m. in the Loomis Funeral Home, Weston. Rev. Donald
Bostwick, of the Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Milton Twp. cemetery.
The baby was born December 27, 1948. Linda died Sunday
morning.
Surviving with her parents is a brother, David, six.

MRS. CHAS. BASCOM CALLED BY DEATH (Cecelia Garfield Creps
Bascom)
WESTON - Mrs. Charles Bascom passed away at four o'clock
this morning at Finlay Hospital after several months
illness. Funeral services will be held in the Loomis
Funeral Home Monday afternoon at two o'clock with
internment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the
Loomis Funeral Home.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Creps, she was born
June 6, 1880, near Findlay and was 70 years, 7 months and
27 days old. Cecilia G. Creps was united in marriage on
Dec. 24, 1902, to Charles Bascom and three children were
born to this union.
She was a member of the Christian Church and her religion
was one of her greatest joys. Mrs. Bascom was a wonderful
wife, mother and neighbor.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; a son, Vance, at
home; daughter, Mrs. Noah (Hilda), Wood; one
granddaughter, Gloria. A daughter, Mrs. Francis Watts,
preceded her in death. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs.
Lawrence Stewart, McComb; and a brother, Carl Creps, of
Durango, Colorado.

DRUMMER, FERN H. CREPS (MRS. FRANK H.)
NORTH BALTIMORE - Mrs. Frank H. Drummer (Fern H. Creps),
72, of 316 Belmont Place, Died Tuesday in Blanchard
Valley Hospital, Findlay.
She was a member of Hoytville United Methodist Church.
She was born May 30, 1906, in Henry Township, Wood County
to Mr. and Mrs. John Creps (Mary Gingrich). She married
Drummer Aug. 22, 1928 in Hoytville.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Jerry L., Fort
Wayne, Ind., and Donald F., Bloomdale; one daughter, Mrs.
Gayle (June E.) Hoffman, Leipsic; nine grandchildren; two
great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Creps, Anthony
Fla., and Wayne Creps, Weston, and two sisters, Mrs.
Robert (Helen) Green and Mrs. Donald (Lois) Kendall, both
of North Baltimore.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Good Shepherd United
Methodist Church, North Baltimore, with Rev. Jack Chalk
officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery,
North Baltimore.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday
and until 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Rippeth-Hare Funeral
Home, North Baltimore.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society or to the church of the donor's choice.

WALTER CREPS
Walter F. Creps, 70, of Phoenix, Formerly of Rudolph,
died Thursday in Toledo Hospital.
He was a retired employee of the former Liberty High
School near Rudolph, now Westwood Elementary School. He
worked as an apartment manager in Phoenix.
Creps was a member of Albright United Methodist Church in
Phoenix.
He was born March 19, 1913 in Hammansburg to Mr. and Mrs.
Addison Dallas Creps (Rosa Smith). He married Clarice
Fogle on March 30, 1935 in Angola, Ind., and she
survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sara Westerhouse,
Pemberville; Laura Kohring, Oak Harbor; and Marrianne
Fielder, Phoenix; and one brother, Dale, Lake Havasu
Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Goodale, Risingsun;
Mrs. Nina Chamberlin, Fostoria; and Mrs. Wilma Boyne,
Highland Mich.; eight grandchildren and one
great-granddaughter.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Deck-Hannerman
Funeral Home.

MARILYN A. CREPS HAINEN (MRS. WILLIAM C.)
Marilyn A. Hainen, 50, of 11854 Newton Road, sixth grade
teacher 14 years at Crim Elementary School, died Sunday
morning in Medical College Hospital, Toledo.
Born May 25, 1935 in Weston to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Creps
(Geraldine Fraquharson), she married William C. Hainen in
1953.
Surviving are her parents, Ocala Fla.; husband; sons,
Timothy, at home; Mark, Toledo; daughter, Jennifer, at
home; three brothers, Wendell Creps, Rochester, Mich.;
John Creps, Rudolph; and Thomas Creps, Toledo; and a
sister Joyce Kent, Ocala, Fla.
The funeral is Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist
Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev.
Phillip Vine will Officiate.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Dunn
Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the American
Cancer Society.

RUTH FERGUSON CREPS (MRS. HARRY)
MILTON CENTER - Ruth C. Creps, 84, of 10270 Sugar St.,
died Monday night in he home.
Mrs. Creps was a retired teach, having taught in the
Hoytville and McComb school systems. She started her
career in a one room school.
She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees
from Bowling Green State University and was a graduate of
Grand Rapids High School.
Mrs. Creps was active in the Milton Center Presbyterian
Church, it's ladies Bible class and Mental Progress
Circle, was a member of Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma,
a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the Ohio and Wood County
Retired Teachers associations and the Women's Literary
Society.
She was born July 15, 1908 in Wood County to Demas and
Rena (Otto) Ferguson. She married Harry A. Creps Feb. 1,
1930 in Delta. He died Dec. 31, 1948.
Surviving are a son, Henry James, Dublin; three
daughters, Ruth Elaine Crockett, Miami Fla.; Eunice
Jeanne Heidrich, Findlay; and Sue Anna Haskell,
Hollywood, Fla.; two sisters, Pearle Spiess, Napolean;
and Midge Frank, Perrysburg; seven grandchildren and one
great-grandson.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby
Bechstein, Fraulene Ferguson, Dorothy Kern and Georgis
Mae Ohlinger; and two brothers, Warren and Bob.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in
Deck-Hannerman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rudolph
Cemetery. Rev. Ralph Clink will officiate.
Visitation id Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
