Day 3 Back to Day 1, Day 2, Day 4 |

| Me! and Dr. Peter J. Jannetta! I really admire this man. He confirmed all our thinking in that the sooner the better. The longer we wait the more damaged the nerve. It is an individual decision though, as to when the quality of life is not acceptable and you opt for a procedure. He believes all symtoms of typical TN are the results of compression. |

| Joanna M. Zakrzewska, MD Head of the Department of Oral Medicine in London, UK. In addition to writing a book, she has published numerous papers on the medical and surgical management of patients with trigeminal neuralgia. She has particular interest in looking at outcome measures after treatment from the patient's perspective. This is one neat lady!! She really cares about all these side effects of the medications we take. She is bold and brave and stands up and reminds those doctors that talk about using medication as long as we can. Wish you all could have heard her. |

| Dr. Jannetta entertaining us with his banjo.
Words to songs were passed out along with Kazoos for
those who wanted to hum along. Can't remember all we
sang, but one was "Yes sir, that's my baby"
they were all old songs. |
| Patients and doctors enjoying a time of fun
and relaxation as Dr. Jannetta entertained us. This time
was very much needed, as we all have been cramming so
much information into our brains. |
| This was GREAT!! Dr. Jannetta sang acapella
for us, the tune was "Skip to the Lou my
Darling" He sang the words something like this. Pain in my face what do I do? Pain in my face what do I do? Pain in my face what do I do? Go to a doctor or two. The verses go on, one funny one was: Tegretol, Baclefen, Nuerotin; Baclefen Nuerotin, Tegretol; Nuerotin Tegretol Baclefen; Slept all the day my darling. The chorus was tic delurex, tic delurex..... well, you get the idea!! It was hilareous. So great to see a doctor so down to earth. |
